Maples Pool Opens May 28

The 2016 Swimming Pool Season opens May 26th and runs through September 5th. All MHA members whose financial obligations to the Association are current are eligible to register for and use the pool. Visit the Swimming Pool page for complete information.



Community Yard Sale
The annual Maples Community Sale is set for Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 8 am to noon. Everyone is invited to take part. Prepare your sale items, put a balloon on your mailbox or other visible spot and be there to greet your shoppers. You’ll be in charge of your own prices, merchandise and sales. The Association will advertise the sale in the newspaper.

Thursday, August 4, 2016 – 7:00 p.m.

The Annual Business Meeting for the Maples Homeowners Association will held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Maples Clubhouse. Coffee will be served at 6:30 p.m. during the registration time period. This meeting is for all residents who own property in the Maples Planned Unit Development. The agenda is listed below.

7:00 p.m. Annual Meeting

  2. Establish Quorum
  3. Election of Board Members
  4. General Discussion
  5. Adjourn

Registration: From 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. residents must register. Voting ballots will be issued at the time you register. Owners who are not current on their annual assessments will be able to pay any outstanding balance during this time. Owners who are not current as of 7:00 p.m. on August 4, 2016 will not be able to vote during this annual meeting as per Art.11, Sec.1 (a) of the Amended Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions of the Maples and Art. 111, Sec .2 of the By-laws of the Maples Homeowners Association.

Proxies: If a member cannot be present, his or her voting privilege may be given to another member by proxy as provided for in Art. XIV, Section 1 of the By-laws of the Maples Homeowners Association. Annual Report: The Annual Report will be given by members of the Board on the major actions during the past year. Plans for the future will be discussed.

Election of Board Members: The Board of Directors is made up of seven volunteers who serve two-year terms. This year the terms of three members expire (Tim Robins, Kurt Riley, Renee Izikoff). A fourth position is currently vacant. The nomination committee will make recommendations for these vacancies at the meeting. If any owner-member desires to serve on the Board or if you wish to recommend someone, please contact Lucy Fox at 822-3974 and make your suggestions known. In addition, nominations can be made from the floor during the meeting.

Annual Assessment Notice
The $150 annual assessment for all Maples homeowners was due January 1, 2016. Cherry Hill Condos and Maples Townhouse Owners: your annual assessment is paid automatically through your monthly maintenance fee. Single Family, Deer Point and Sterling Cove Owners: if your account has not been paid by April 1 your account will be charged a late fee, and the amount due will be $180.00. Unpaid accounts will be referred to the MHA attorney for collection. Send your payment to:
